Homework Week 8





Reading
This week you are going to do a Book Review on either your Literature Circle book or an exciting book you are reading at home.  What sort of things would people want to know about your book? Characters?  Plot?  Author?  Remember that visitors from all over New Zealand and the rest of the World will be reading your post so you need to give them the right sort of information.


PUNCTUATION SHOULD BE CORRECT.  CHECK AS YOU GO AND BEFORE YOU PRESS PUBLISH.

Homework Week 7

Your challenge this week...if you  choose to accept it... is to video or take photos of your family doing the TOFFEE POP (or Chocolate finger as shown in photo!!!) CHALLENGE.  Have lots of fun watching their face expressions!  Make sure you ask them if you are allowed to put their photo onto your Blog.

Keep up your reading this week.  We have some awesome new Literature Circle Books in class so check them out.

Maths this week is practising your times tables.  Some people are ZOOMING up the ladder.  Testing will be through the week when you are ready.

Today Room 5, 6, 7 & 8 were part of a Skype Party with a school in Adelaide.  We shared our Mihi, a Waiata, a Haka, food and parts of our culture that are important to us.  Above  are some videos of the amazing introduction by Aisling, our super singing group and the strong Haka group.  Room 5, 6, 7 & 8,  you did us proud!!!!

I can't wait for out Skype Party at 12 o'clock  tomorrow with our Australian School.  If you like you can dress up in NZ clothes to show our buddies across the water.

- organise and manage the bank and bank tellers.
- co-ordinate salary payments with Payroll Officer
- c-ordinate tax payments with Tax Officer

2. Bank Tellers (4) - $15 Snidges: Kirsten, Aisling, Emily & Bethany
- work for the Bank Manager and provide services for TS Bank

3. Business Manager $25 Snidges: Sarah
- create and collect business applications
- manage property allocation for businesses
- solve potential business disputes

4. Tax Collector $20 Snidges: Wilson
- Observe businesses and collect tax revenue
- Make tax payments to the TS Bank account

5. Payroll Officer $20 Snidges: Thomas
- Co-ordinate week pay for TS staff with Bank Manager

6. Refuse Controller (2) $10 Snidges: Devon G
- Empty rubbish bins daily
- co-ordinate future recycling projects

7. Librarian (2) $15 Snidges: Campbell & Olivia
- Collect, manage and return school Library books and Literature Circle books

8. Art Supplies Manager $15 Snidges: Ben
- Maintain the art area.

9. Sports Gear Co-ordinator (2) $15: Bradley & Devon G
- manage all classroom PE Gear (Room 1-8) and co-ordinate PE shed.

10. Messenger $15 Snidges: Jonty
- distribute all messages around the school

11. Classroom IT Technitians (3) $20 Snidges: Robert, Xavier & Tom
- Start and close all computers each day
- Manage and maintain all classroom technology
