First Aid Course

Do you know what CPR means and how to do it?  Do you know what R.I.C.E means?  Could you stop bleeding, even if you  didn't have any bandaids?

Room 7 children do!  These are some of the things they learnt at their St Johns First Aid course today.  Great facts to share with family at home.  :-)

Life Education Bus

We all enjoyed the Life Education Bus this week, especially listening to Harold and the star roof.  In these visits we were learning what  conform and tolerance meant, what makes us unique, choices we have and what we can do.

Homework - Week 9

I am not sure if anyone took up the challenge for a tidy bedroom last week...The Prize for the tidiest room still remains unclaimed!

Reading
Great Book Reviews last week.  You all read some amazing books. Please keep up your Literature Circle book reading this week and bring to class each day.

Spelling
Test yourself on the set spelling tasks on Study Ladder.  Some may find them too easy so really challenge yourself.  I will be checking these daily.

Maths
Flash cards have gone home for times tables.  We want as many people as possible moving up the ladder.  Those that have other flash cards please bring to school everyday.

Life Education Booklet
This can be completed at home with your family.  Don't forget to look up the web page.

Blog Challenge
Create a post on some of the following:  Moffet Cup practise, Life Education Bus, Jibboo and latest book read.

Have a great week everyone.
Great to see all our Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 children participating in the traditional Moffet Cup preparation this year.  Here are some photos of the Year 3 & 4 Rippa and Netball teams, that our photographer Robert Beck captured.  Love the ones from the fort Robert.  Some awesome videos were also taken but we don't wont to give away too much!

Homework Week 8

This week you are going to do a Book Review on either your Literature Circle book or an exciting book you are reading at home.  What sort of things would people want to know about your book? Characters?  Plot?  Author?  Remember that visitors from all over New Zealand and the rest of the World will be reading your post so you need to give them the right sort of information.

PUNCTUATION SHOULD BE CORRECT.  CHECK AS YOU GO AND BEFORE YOU PRESS PUBLISH.

Here are some sites with Book Review/Report ideas...
