First Aid Course

Do you know what CPR means and how to do it?  Do you know what R.I.C.E means?  Could you stop bleeding, even if you  didn't have any bandaids?

Room 7 children do!  These are some of the things they learnt at their St Johns First Aid course today.  Great facts to share with family at home.  :-)

I feel so safe now when I come into school. If I hurt myself I know there will be lots of people there who can help me!
So what does R.I.C.E stand for? Hmmm

    Hi Everyone

    R-I-C-E means

    R-est
    I-ce
    C-ompress
E is when u keep the leg straight or up

When we had jo form st johns she said you can break the persons ribs. I asked her ''will you hear the cracking when the ribs break'' and jo said ''yes but that is only when you do break the person's rib.
When ever i do cpr i just hope that that person's ribs don't break.

Yes you would be able to stop bleeding if you didn't band aides by using a torniquet or by putting pressure on the source.
